What is We Are Checking (WAC)?

We Are Checking (WAC) is a mapping tool designed to aggregate and display a variety of current and historical data from different active sources. Its primary goal is to present this information in a performant and user-friendly manner.

Is the data presented on the map guaranteed to be accurate?

The data is provided by third-party sources, and while we strive for accuracy, it is not guaranteed. Information can sometimes be outdated or contain errors. You should be careful and verify critical information with primary sources.

Why do cameras sometimes show old data?

We poll static on a set interval depending on how frequently the upstream source is expected to publish new data. In some cases, a camera may be unavailable for extended periods because of connectivity problems or planned maintenance by its owner.

How can I view details about a specific point on the map?

Simply click on any feature (like a camera icon or a colored line) on the map. A popup with initial details will appear. For more comprehensive information and historical data, an info panel will open on the side (desktop) or from the bottom (mobile).
